Concord, N.H.– New Hampshire high school juniors and their parents seeking college admissions and financial aid planning information are encouraged to register for the 18th Annual Destination CollegeSM event, to be held at Plymouth State University on Saturday, March 18. This free college planning convention, hosted by The NHHEAF Network Organizations, features a variety of workshops as well as a college fair with nearly 70 colleges and universities in attendance.
“Destination College provides college-bound students the necessary tools to begin the college search, to learn about the college admissions and financial aid processes from experts from throughout our state, and to attend a college fair to learn more about local and regional colleges,” states Karen Collins, co-chair of the Destination College planning committee. Nearly 1200 New Hampshire residents register for this event each year.
Nearly 20 workshops will be presented during the event, including Know the Score: Capitalizing on FREE Test Prep Resources, Launching a Scholarship Search, Paths to Choosing a Major, Information for the Student Athlete and Paying for College 101.
In addition, the Destination College Speech Contest is now open to current New Hampshire high school seniors. In addition to winning a $1,000 college scholarship, the Speech Contest winner will deliver the keynote address at Destination College. Entries are due Friday, February 10.
