Seniors: Stuck on That College Essay?
Writing an admissions essay sounded easy at first: you've been writing essays since the fourth grade! Now, your fingers are hovering over the keyboard and your brain is suddenly...blank. It's okay, step away from the keyboard and take a breather. Millions of students have gone before you and there is plenty of inspiration. Often, most colleges post application essays that they consider to be great examples of what they like to see when they get your essay. Even though cold, snowy days are approaching, it is never too early to think Spring (especially if you are a high school junior!) It may seem far away now, but it is a good idea to look at the SAT, ACT or subject test dates for Spring so that you have ample time to prepare and select dates that won't conflict with sporting events and other commitments.

You can get more than just a hot cup of coffee at Cumberland Farms; you can get a $1,000 scholarship for college! Cumberland Farms annual Believe and Achieve Scholarship Program is taking submissions from high school seniors who will be attending a 2 or 4 year college in the fall of 2015. If you live within 30 miles of a Cumberland Farms, and who doesn't, check out the criteria for this scholarship due December 15, 2014!
