Concord, N.H. – Over 1,100 New Hampshire high school juniors, parents and guardians will attend the 19th Annual Destination CollegeSM event at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) Saturday, April 7. This free college planning convention, designed to help high school juniors and their families to become college and career-ready, is hosted by The NHHEAF Network Organizations, a nonprofit organization based in Concord.
The event will begin in SNHU’s Fieldhouse Gym at 8:30 a.m. with a welcome from New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, SNHU Campus President Dr. Patricia Lynott, and The NHHEAF Network Organizations’ President and CEO, René A. Drouin. The keynote address will be delivered by this year’s Destination CollegeSM Speech Contest winner, and $1,000 scholarship recipient, Nashua High School South senior Amber Hedquist.
Registered attendees will have access to a variety of informational workshops by expert presenters on topics including college admissions, financial aid, scholarship searching, and career and college exploration. In addition to informational workshops, attendees will also attend a college fair from 12:30 to 2 p.m. which features over 60 colleges and universities in the SNHU Athletic Complex. The college fair is also open to the public with no prior registration required.
