Statewide Kick-off Monday, November 4th

College Application Filing Program at 50 Public
New Hampshire High Schools to Take Place in November 2019

EDITORS, NEWS DIRECTORS: You are invited to attend and provide media coverage of the 2019 statewide campaign kick-off for New Hampshire’s College Application Month, part of a nationwide initiative to increase the number of students pursuing a college degree or other higher education credential. It is expected 1,900 New Hampshire high school seniors from 50 public high schools will submit over 4,600 college applications during the month of November.

The primary purpose of this effort, also known as “I Am College Bound/I Applied”, is to help high school seniors navigate the college admissions process and ensure they apply to at least one postsecondary institution during a predetermined daytime event held at their high school. Events are open to all high school seniors at the participating high schools with an emphasis on first-generation and low-income students.

This statewide initiative is coordinated by The NHHEAF Network Organizations’ Center for College Planning (CCP) in partnership with NH colleges and universities, NH school counselors, NH Department of Education, NH Charitable Foundation, NH College & University Council, and other statewide stakeholders. The initiative is part of the nationwide American College Application Campaign (ACAC), coordinated by the ACT Center for Equity in Learning.
