EDITORS, NEWS DIRECTORS: You are invited to attend and provide media coverage of the 2018 statewide campaign kick-off for “I Am College Bound/I Applied”, an initiative to increase the number of first-generation and low-income students pursuing a college degree or other higher education credential.
The primary purpose of this effort, coordinated nationally by the American Council on Education, is to help high school seniors navigate the complex college admissions process and ensure they apply to at least one postsecondary institution during a daytime event at their high school. In 2018, it is expected 1,700 New Hampshire high school seniors will participate at 42 public high schools statewide, submitting over 4,200 college applications.
This statewide initiative is coordinated by The NHHEAF Network Organizations’ Center for College Planning (CCP) in partnership with NH colleges and universities, NH school counselors, NH Department of Education, NH Charitable Foundation, NH College & University Council, and other statewide stakeholders.
