Seniors, Celebrate Your Decision!

It is time to take part in College Signing Day! This year's national event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26. While you may be on Spring Break on this day, we encourage you to participate! Take a photo in your college t‐shirt and post it on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #ReachHigher. Don't forget to add the hashtag #NH so we can see how many students from NH participate!

#ReachHigher is a national initiative led by First Lady Michelle Obama and is designed to encourage all high school students to pursue some type of postsecondary work ‐ whether it be a certificate program or a 2 or 4‐year degree. Congratulations to you on making your decision!

College Road Trip!

HS Juniors ‐ Spend your Spring Break or summer vacation touring campuses! Reading through college brochures and surfing campus websites can tell you so much about campuses, but nothing can compare to seeing them first‐hand. Remember that the marketing materials don't tell the whole story. Visiting allows you to experience the campus' personality. Remember to stop by the Financial Aid Office while you are on campus to educate yourself about college costs and financial aid! Click below for tips on taking a campus tour.

Preparing for the SAT

Most students take the CollegeBoard® SAT spring of junior year or fall of senior year. Many take it twice ‐ and most improve their score the second time around. What can you do to help prepare for your success?

Answer a question a day on the Daily Practice for the New SAT app and get immediate feedback! The free app makes it easy to:

  • Answer an exclusive, official reading, writing and language, or math question.
  • Reveal a hint if you're stuck.
  • Read answer explanations and learn from your mistakes.
  • Keep at it ‐ daily practice can only sharpen your skills.
